New Spider Man Trailer gives me mixed feelings

First let’s watch the trailer. Now here are my thoughts. I like the actor playing Spidey.  I like Donald Glover.  I like Michael Keaton.  I like the idea of the neighborhood Spider Man and the bits with Peter Parker catching bike thieves and dealing with school are great. But I HATE the Tony Stark stuff.  HATE.  I know Robert Downey Jr. is their cash cow but this feels super forced.  I would be more compelled by Cap mentoring Peter.  And if the suit is all hyped up like the iron man suit, then what exactly is the benefit of...

Yesterday on the Internet – Links

The fact that someone decided it would be a good idea to blow up British Ariana Grande fans should actually show the terrorists why they should just give up now.  If I asked you yesterday how many British Ariana Grande fans there were, you would have said seven or eight.  The jackass who made sure you will need to leave for the concert 4 hours before showtime this summer didn’t even come close to scratching the surface of how many real fans Ariana has in the UK.  Stupid terrorists.  You suck.  You couldn’t even kill all the redheads in...

Bow before Cher

The Billboard Music Awards were last night.  I always thought those were weird because it is like the Neilsen ratings having awards.  They ARE awards, you know?  But they did give Cher an Icon award, which is cool because I love Cher.  She doesn’t have an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) but she has has a #1 hit in every decade since the 1960s.  That is six decades, folks.  Ponder that for a second. I think the only possible other person who has a shot at doing that in my lifetime now is Madonna?  Anyone else?  I mean, maybe Justin...

Here's another way to make me barf: ankle injuries.

So I’m watching the San Antonio / Golden State game and in the 3rd quarter, San Antonio star Kawhi Leonard turned his ankle not once but twice and had to come out of the game.  Now, the story most people will be talking about is how the Warriors came back from 20+ points down to win it as soon as Leonard left the floor.  But for me, it was how I was such a brave boy and watched the replays of the ankle turning. Granted they are not horrifying like Joe Theissman’s leg breaking *barfs* but they are a...

If I were a Reporter

OK so by now everyone knows that Trump fired FBI Director Comey.  And I am PRETTY sure that everyone knows that the reason they gave (Comey was mean to Hillary Clinton) is sort of bogus considering that Trump was super jazzed that Comey sent that letter near the end of the campaign.  Now, Hillary says that is why she lost, which might or might not be true.  But nobody thinks it HELPED her.  And I have been watching the news this morning (parts of Mika Brzezinski are hypnotic and I love Mark Halperin) and nobody has asked the question...
