Waiting for the Train Episode 33
Well as sad as it is, we still had to talk about Trump this week, because after his "grab her by the p***y" comment rant from 2005 which was unearthed last week, he is now claiming that the entire election is "rigged" against him and "a conspiracy". Of note, the guy who thinks we should put him in charge of things like nuclear weapons and claims he has a "great temperament" is tweeting about how he doesn't like SNL's portrayal of him by Alec Baldwin. Seems level-headed.
On that note, here's an upsetting photo from 2007:
The news has been 90% about the election, but we also discussed Bob Dylan winning the Nobel Prize for literature for his song lyrics, and Ruth Bader Ginsberg getting blowback about criticizing Colin Kaepernick's refusal to stand for the national anthem (you might be interested in checking out episode 26 as a refresher on this discussion as it's the last time we spent a good amount of time on it, I believe.)
Other items discussed...
Ben Carson has an inordinate amount of portraits of himself in his home and it's super weird.
BNev and I love Bang Up Betty's stuff a lot.
We're going to go to NY Comic Con next year and sell awesome stuff and be awesome and Acadia is going to not suck this time about publicizing our site and podcasts to the attendees.
Also! Don't forget to check out our other podcast, Strangeful Things, for spoopy fun, this month especially, as Halloween is kind of a big deal around here.
