YouTuesday – The First Boo Berry Commercial

If you hadn't heard yet, not only are the standard monster cereals (Count Chocula, Franken Berry, and Boo Berry) back on the shelves for the 2013 Halloween season, but General Mills is also bringing back the two discontinued monster cereals, Frute Brute and Fruity Yummy Mummy, as well.  This marks the first time all the cereals have been available at the same time.  If you haven't yet, head on out and scoop these bad boys up before it's too late.  You can get the cereals pretty much anywhere in their modern boxes, but if you get yours at Target, not only can you get them all, but you can also get them all in their classic old school boxes as pictured below.

If I haven't quite hit your nostalgia sweet spot yet, I think I may have just the thing to get you in the monster cereal spirit.   Let me take you back to 1973 when the first Boo Berry commercial made it's debut.

I have a tree. And a kite. They like each other.

Random fact: Paul Frees did the voice work for Boo Berry.

Look how just 100% done with everything the original Boo Berry looks. “Man, fuck this. I fell down the stairs at work and broke my neck and THIS is the shit I’ve gotta do in the afterlife? The fuck man?”
