What motivates you to do what you do?

Life motivates me! The world we live in. The need for others to be able to escape what is going on in their own lives by getting sucked into the story.

Who is your favorite woman who does what you do?

Lindsay Serrano. Everyday she motivates me. I am proud to work with her.

If you had one wish for women in your space in 2020, what would it be?

Make yourself known. Be yourself and never settle for anyone else’s vision.

Share a practical tip for a woman who wants to do what you do.

Do what you love. But be careful about who you surround yourself with. Don’t take no for an answer. Don’t give away your ideas. Keep them close and keep your team closer. Help everyone you can. Remember that everyone struggles and one little word can make all the difference.

Inspire someone who is not where they want to be in the industry yet.

Do one thing every day to get closer to your goal. Be willing to work your way up. People don’t get to where they are by sitting back or starting at the top. Stay that extra hour and help clean up. Take in every ounce of knowledge that you can. Listen to those that are where you want to be and take their advise.

What scares you?

Nothing really scares me. I know that I can overcome any obstacle because I’ve had to.

What projects do you have coming up?

OOOH! I have two features coming out this year, Dark Tales from Channel X, with MassGrave Pictures and I’m really excited about it! Bloody Nun 2: The Curse has a February release date. I’m also shooting a film this spring called Camp Murder where I’m playing a role that I can’t wait to play! I’ve got a few directing projects I’m working on including a release of the grindhouse short, The Geocachers. Two films I ADed, a 16mm B&W feature, A Hawk and a Handsaw and Tomorrow, Tomorrow short film. AND in October, it’s haunt season, where I will be directing Blood Manor and consulting other haunted attractions in the NYC area.
