sixpence

This week has had a lot of bad news (just like last week) so I want you all the be cheered up a little bit.  If you’re like me, you forgot that Sixpence None the Richer had a song besides Kiss Me.  Well they do and it’s this one.  It’s not going to go down in history as one of the greatest songs of all time, but it will definitely win the award for lines that end in the sound “ain”.  Look at this.  And please just pretend that “again” ends with the “ain” sound even though we aren’t English or Dracula.

There she goes
There she goes again
Racing through my brain
And I just can’t contain
This feeling that remains

There she goes
There she goes again
Pulsing through my veins
And I just can’t contain
This feeling that remains

There she goes
There she goes again
Racing through my brain
And I just can’t contain
This feeling that remains

There she goes
There she goes again
She calls my name,
Pulls my train
No one else could heal my pain
And I just can’t contain
This feeling that remains

There she goes
There she goes again
Chasing down my lane
And I just can’t contain
This feeling that remains

There she goes
There she goes
There she goes

Hmm.  Now that I look a little closer, she sort of just says the same words over and over.  I am sort of mad now.  She didn’t say “plane” or “Maine” or “plantain”. What a rip off.

Cocaine.

This song could pretty much have unlimited verses.

Lake Pontchartrain
