A couple weeks ago Jenny Beans asked me if I wanted to write a poem for her Charity Anthology “From the Dark Side”.  I promptly looked up what Anthology meant and agreed.  I know you probably didn’t fancy me a poet but I can take some time and make a mad word that sounds the same at the end as the word before it.  So I did write the poem (a sonnet to be exact and not a Saab Sonnet) and it is being included in said Anthology.  So suck on that all you people who don’t have anthologies!

Now you can Buy it!  Go do this now!

If you have a Kindle or the free kindle software for your PC or Mac you can get it from Amazon.  If you want it in PDF or HTML or painted on some girl’s ass you need to  get it from Smashwords.  And if you get it here post it in the comments.  I want to rub it in everyone’s face!

AMAZONSMASHWORDS

For real though, it is going on sale Friday, July 9th at Amazon and Smashwords for $4.99 and all the money is going to the Office of Letters and Light. The official press release and the trailer (books have trailers?) after the jump.  I will put the official links in there as soon as they give them to me.  Start saving up to buy it.  I expect the Gallery to be the number one buying it from place.  See how good I write?

From the Dark Side: A Charity Anthology

In March 2010, (Acadia note: wait, why did they just ask me in frigging June?  Did they need an even number of pages?  Seething.) a group of creative types got together in search of ways to showcase their work. There were talks of collaboration which evolved into the From the Dark Side Anthology. Because there were so many people involved in the project, an equal distribution of earnings seemed silly, and so those who gave birth to the idea decided to ask contributors to donate their work.
A worthwhile cause creative-types could stand behind was not hard to find. We turned our attention to the Letters and Light Organization, a non-profit charity that promotes youth creativity.
Since most creative people have a special memory of someone who encouraged and supported them, nurtured their gift and inspired them to pursue their dreams, it seemed like an obvious choice to donate all the proceeds earned from this charity endeavor to The Letters and Light Organization.
Details: Will go on sale electronically July 9, 2010 on Amazon and Smashwords for $4.99 per copy.
Readers do NOT need an eReader in order to download and read the anthology. Amazon offers a download of their Kindle software for PCs and Macs, as well as the iPhone and iTouch. Smashwords has a wide variety of downloadable mediums, from direct browser html and PDF to eReader and Kindle, just to name a few.
