It’s Day 2 of 31 Days of Halloween and I’ve discovered that coffee is both a blessing and curse. I’ll try not to complain whilst I explain to you how I achieved my Hit Girl Cosplay from the movie Kick-Ass! This is one the most comfortable, accessable, and achievable cosplays I’ve done!
Part One: Buying Things You’ll Probably Use Once (supplies)
This cosplay requires very few things. First you’re going to want some athletic or just basic black leggings, and then what I also used was some workout long sleeve jacket thingy that I don’t work out in but it’s like oh nice I have a waist in this…that kind of top. Look the whole point of these superheroes is they were kids, and although Hit Girl did have one of the more upgraded outfits you don’t always have to do an exact match.
The 2 key features are the black eye mask and purple bob. I was able to reuse a purple wig from last year that cost $18 on amazon. Now the eye mask I got was a Harley Quinn one, like her OG look, and it was from amazon and only $8! However it sucks! IT HURTS! It’s like the hardest fake leather ever and cuts the bridge of my nose…so avoid that like the plague.
Total Cost: $26 (if you use clothing you already have)
Part Two: The Art of Makeup
Yeah, no you really don’t need much. I did some of my fancy priced DiorSkin Forever Glow Something Something foundation. Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, and Coty Airspun Powder for Setting. For contour and blush I used Wander Beauty Blush and Contour Duo. Slight highlight with Jeffree Star Cosmetics in Frosted.
Eyes were simple, Lorac Pro 2 palette in neutral tones. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in the brown shade, and some Loreal mascara. Added a little Anastasia Brow Wiz in medium. Think about your kicking ass and taking names…you don’t need false lashes to be a badass.
Part Three: The Concluding Conclusion
This is a really cool and super easy cosplay to accomplish! Just enjoy and be a badass and kick some ass.
