What’s been keeping you busy?
The churail from my feature film ‘Black Lake’ continues to haunt at festivals. I have also been fleshing out the script for my third feature film.
What was your favorite piece of new horror media from the last year?
I’d like to give a shout out to the Korean psychological thriller/horror ‘The Call’, which streamed on Netflix late last year.
What are you looking forward to most in the horror community for 2021?
I’m pretty excited about Spiral and Candyman
What keeps from throwing in the towel when things get tough?
The relevance and believing in the impact of the story.
What projects do you have coming up?
I re-edited what was originally my first feature film ‘Maya’, which tells the story of Jinn possession and is entirely set in Pakistan. ‘Maya’ will be festival ready for 2021.
