Acadia brings his stuffed pink bunny everywhere with him. He calls it Binky. Don't judge.

Acadia is off on travels with and for his family. His absence means no podcat full of silliness and sci fi. In place of this weekly joy post, I give you the best supergroup ever. I absolutely love that Tom Petty was part of it only because George Harrison had to run by his house to pick up a guitar and Petty says, “Hey, I’ll join ya.”

So I give you my favorite tracks from each album. It’s like Friday ’90s but without the Friday or the ’90s parts. Okay well Vol 3 debuted in 1990 so it fits. Whatever. Just click and be happy and soon Acadia will be back and you won’t have to put up with as many random Tom Petty posts. Also, one of the videos is a super fun surprise. And the other one is a pain. And I put in a third because The Traveling Wilburys are like Pringles, once you pop, you can’t stop.

End of the Line is my go-to, forever cheer me up song, but Tom Petty won’t let me embed the End of the Line video.  I forgive him. I’d forgive him anything. It’s worth clicking the link to see it, though. When Petty raises his eyebrows with that half smile….and Roy Orbison’s guitar rocking alone…such a beautiful tribute. Click it, fools.

Well it’s all right, riding around in the breeze
Well it’s all right, if you live the life you please
Well it’s all right, doing the best you can
Well it’s all right, as long as you lend a hand

You can sit around and wait for the phone to ring (End of the Line)
Waiting for someone to tell you everything (End of the Line)
Sit around and wonder what tomorrow will bring (End of the Line)
Maybe a diamond ring

Well it’s all right, even if they say you’re wrong
Well it’s all right, sometimes you gotta be strong
Well it’s all right, As long as you got somewhere to lay
Well it’s all right, everyday is Judgment Day

Maybe somewhere down the road aways (End of the Line)
You’ll think of me, wonder where I am these days (End of the Line)
Maybe somewhere down the road when somebody plays (End of the Line)
Purple haze

Well it’s all right, even when push comes to shove
Well it’s all right, if you got someone to love
Well it’s all right, everything’ll work out fine
Well it’s all right, we’re going to the end of the line

Don’t have to be ashamed of the car I drive (End of the Line)
I’m glad to be here, happy to be alive (End of the Line)
It don’t matter if you’re by my side (End of the Line)
I’m satisfied

Well it’s all right, even if you’re old and gray
Well it’s all right, you still got something to say
Well it’s all right, remember to live and let live
Well it’s all right, the best you can do is forgive

Well it’s all right, riding around in the breeze
Well it’s all right, if you live the life you please
Well it’s all right, even if the sun don’t shine
Well it’s all right, we’re going to the end of the line

Last Night

She was there at the bar, she heard my guitar
She was long and tall, she was the queen of them all
Last night, thinking about last night
Last night, thinking about last night

She was dark and discreet, she was light on her feet
We went up to her room and she lowered the boom
Last night, thinking about last night
Last night, thinking about last night

Down below they danced and sang in the street
While up above the walls were steaming with heat
Last night, thinking about last night
Last night, thinking about last night

I was feeling no pain, feeling good in my brain
I looked in her eyes, they were full of surprise
Last night, talking about last night
Last night, talking about last night

I asked her to marry me she smiled and pulled out a knife
The party’s just beginning she said, “Your money or you life?”
Last night, talking about last night
Last night, talking about last night

Now I’m back at the bar, she went a little too far
She done me wrong, all I got is this song
Last night, thinking about last night
Last night, thinking about last night

Handle with Care features Orbison with a sweet, sweet  bridge. Lord, I miss him.

Handle with Care

Been beat up and battered 'round
Been sent up, and I've been shot down
You're the best thing that I've ever found
 Handle me with care
 Reputations changeable
 Situations tolerable
 But baby, you're adorable
 Handle me with care
I'm so tired of being lonely
I still have some love to give
Won't you show me that you really care
Everybody's got somebody to lean on
Put your body next to mine, and dream on
I've been fobbed off, and I've been fooled
 I've been robbed and ridiculed
In day care centers and night schools
 Handle me with care
 (Guitar Solo)
 Been stuck in airports, terrorized
 Sent to meetings, hypnotized
 Overexposed, commercialized
 Handle me with care
I'm so tired of being lonely
I still have some love to give
Won't you show me that you really care
Everybody's got somebody to lean on
Put your body next to mine, and dream on
I've been uptight and made a mess
But I'll clean it up myself, I guess
Oh, the sweet smell of success
 Handle me with care
