What’s better than a good ghost story? Nothing! When told properly, of course and The Haunting of Bly Manor looks to be a good ghost story. The fact that it’s created by the same team that gave us The Haunting of Hill House gives more reason to be excited. Creepy melancholy kid’s song? Check! Imposing estate grounds? Check! Freaky dolls in a fluorescent lit basement? Check and Check!
Hill House did an amazing job subverting a traditional ghost story with its time bending and onion peeling style of storytelling. If you haven’t experienced it, block off some time because you won’t be able to stop once you start.
I’ll admit, I was late to the Hill House party, but I’ve sent RSVP for the Bly House. October 9th can’t come quick enough…
