As you may or may not know, this site and our original podcast Waiting for the Train birthed another podcast and site, Strangeful Things. Our summary of this child of the Gallery is “…a podcast devoted to telling unsettling stories in a fun way.”
While we hope you will check out all of our episodes, we wanted to tell you about the extra super duper very scary episode we posted this week, in honor of Halloween.
First of all, this episode is not for the faint of heart. If you are easily scared, you probably shouldn’t listen. And we really want people to listen, so don’t take that lightly! But, if you enjoy a good scare or are feeling particularly scare-ready in honor of this, our favorite holiday, then you should definitely check it out.
First, we tell the story of Timothy O’Bryan, a little boy in Deer Park, Texas, whose Halloween did not end well. You might want to steer clear of pixie sticks for a while.
Then, we learn a lot of facts about Halloween, some fun, and some scary.
Finally, we hear the audio of a security system during an actual crime in Little Falls, Minnesota, which is one of the creepiest things I have ever heard in my life.
This was also a special podcast because all four of our podcasters were able to be there, which is not usually the case. Please tune in to hear Acadia, Jenn (me), BNev, and Kenny doing our best to entertain and scare you! Never heard of Strangeful Things before. Is this like the Netflix show Stranger Things or something different?
It’s not the same thing, we were just inspired to make it similarly. We talk about a different mystery or other kind of interesting or scary story each week.

I am easily scared too! I hope if you check it out it’s not TOO scary. For me I get much more scared watching a movie than just hearing a story.

I must give it a listen!! One of my favorite memories from when I was little was my older brother and I sitting in his closet in the dark with a flashlight and he’d be reading ghost stories to me. 🙂

I am the biggest wimp when it comes to scariness to the point my husband bought me a “boo immunity” necklace for the haunted houses at the amusement park. I will still need to check out your awesome podcast though!

Halloween is not my thing. But podcasts of any sort are.
