USA got up 1-0 against Spain and for the first 38 minutes held tempo and was the better team.
After which? Well, it was a Spanish onslaught. But, USA never panicked and played as if they knew this was going to come at some point. They were all over the place. Blocking Spanish efforts one after the other. For the first 20 minutes of the second half Spain was doing this at will, but NEVER SCORED.
Then, the skies cleared and the tempo was slowed a bit and went back and forth. USA had some good chances down field and eventually got one to make it 2-0.
Great win for USA soccer. Now, they face the Brazil/South Africa winner, so, yeah, Brazil on Sunday.
