A kicker for the University of South Florida tried to do something good in his summer job. He wound up in a shit load of pain for his attempted good deed.
The park issued a statement saying that after sending a gondola out of the station, Bonani, who was working as an attendant for the ride, thought the door might be unlocked and held onto the door to check it. He hung on as the gondola took off — authorities say — then let go about 35 feet above the ground into a landscaped area.
I guess the moral of the story here is to not give a damn about the person in the Gondola and just cross your fingers that they aren’t dumb enough to leave a Gondola 35 feet in the air.

Why did he let go? It doesn’t even say in the story. If he was holding on, why didn’t he just keep holding on?
because he is a kicker and kickers are weak?
