So, here’s a new thing I’m going to introduce. Who Ya Got Friday. Simple. It’s a list of five or so in a given category. I like to start fights, so why not try that here?
First list? Best pitcher in Major League Baseball. The reason for this list is that this week the Toronto Blue Jays said they would listen for trade offers on their best pitcher, Roy Halladay. Sports to start the day, and since most of the readers here are not sports oriented, we’ll close the day with a movie related list.
#5: Zack Grienke: Kid straight up dominated the first part of the season. He has come back down to earth a bit, but he makes this list because he could legit be in the top 2 on a list like this for years to come.
#4: Johan Santana: Has hit some speed bumps this season, but let’s face it, his team is garbage and it has to wear on you emotionally to go through the crap the Mets are going through with this year.
#3: Roy Halladay: This might shock some, so I tell you what, red on to figure out who is taking down Doc!
#2: Chad Billingsley: Yes, this might be a bit early to move Chad Billingsley ahead of The Doc, Roy Halladay, but Billingsley brings it strong for the Dodgers. ERA right around 3 and a solid whip, Bills also is sporting a 115 Ks in 120 innings, which is a better ratio than Halladay’s.
#1: Tim Lincecum: This is too easy right now. Last year’s NL Cy Young has been killing it of late. ERA right around 2 and 141 Ks in 121 innings coming in to last night.
So, Who Ya Got? One of these guys or another guy? Dan Haren? Need to see him do it in a second half first. Justin Verlander is very good, but doesn’t have the consistency for this list.
