Barbara Peeters is rightly known for directing Humanoids from the Deep but that movie, produced by Roger Corman, also drove her away from movies and into TV directing. Apparently Corman changed the film a lot after she turned it in and added some rape scenes and she got so mad she asked her name to be removed from the movie. So not only was she fighting for a chance to direct, she had to have the strength to quit and to stick up for her work. Damn.
